New Digital Arrival Card for India
The Indian Bureau of Immigration (BOI) has introduced a digital arrival card to streamline the immigration process. Starting from October 1st, 2025, international travelers will have the option to fill out the arrival card both digitally and physically.
What do travelers need to know?
- Starting from October 1st, 2025, travelers can fill out the arrival card either online up to 72 hours before arrival, or physically upon arrival at the airport.
- The digital arrival card can be filled out via the official website Indian Visa Online or the "Indian Visa Su-Swagatam" app.
- Travelers choosing the physical card can still fill it out at the airport, but only for a maximum of six months, until the digital system is fully stabilized.
Benefits of the digital arrival card:
- Faster entry: Less waiting time at the airport.
- Convenience: The ability to fill out the card before arrival avoids waiting at the airport.
- Availability: The digital card can be accessed anytime through the channels mentioned above.
How to fill out the digital arrival card?
- Visit the official website Indian Visa Online.
- Fill out the required fields and submit the card.
- You will receive a confirmation that you can present upon arrival.
During the first six months starting from October 1st, 2025, travelers have the choice of using either the digital or the physical card. This transition period allows travelers to familiarize themselves with the new digital system.
