1. Day: Arrival
Upon arrival at Delhi airport, you'll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Use the rest of the day to recover from the journey, adjust to the time difference, and soak in the first impressions of India’s pulsating capital. A short stroll around the hotel or a quick walk through the streets of Delhi is possible – but the real adventure starts tomorrow.
2. Day: Transfer Delhi - Mandawa
Today your journey truly begins. After about seven hours on the road, you’ll reach the Shekhawati region, famous for its artistically painted havelis that feel like open-air museums. Mandawa greets you with colorful facades and winding alleys. Enjoy the evening with a walk through the village and let the stories told by the murals prepare you for the start of your motorcycle tour.
3. Day: Excursion Through the Shekhawati Region / ca. 100 km
After breakfast, it’s time to saddle up your Royal Enfield for your first exploratory ride through Shekhawati. This region is a treasure trove for lovers of architecture and folklore: discover opulent havelis, intricate frescoes, historic wells, and quiet villages. The peaceful country roads offer a perfect introduction to riding in India and let you ease into the rhythm of the land.
4. Day: Mandawa - Bikaner / ca. 225 km
Today you ride deeper into the desert of Rajasthan. In the afternoon, Bikaner offers a special highlight: a jeep safari followed by a camel ride into a remote desert village. You’ll spend the night in traditional style under a glittering sky – a true Rajasthan moment.
5. Day: Bikaner / ca. 80 km
After a local breakfast, return to the hotel in Bikaner. This day is all about culture and curiosity: visit the grand Junagarh Fort with its ornate courtyards and halls. Adventurous souls can venture to the famous Karni Mata Temple in Deshnok – home to thousands of tame rats considered sacred and bearers of good luck. Strange but unforgettable.
6. Day: Bikaner - Jaisalmer / ca. 333 km
An early start for the longest leg of the tour. The landscape gradually shifts from cultivated fields to endless desert and gravel plains. Jaisalmer, the “Golden City,” welcomes you with its honey-colored walls and mysterious desert charm. A walk through the old town at sunset is a moment to remember.
7. Day: Jaisalmer
This day is yours to explore: wander the labyrinthine streets and visit the impressive Jaisalmer Fort, or relax in a traditional haveli. For more adventure, head out to the nearby sand dunes on a camel or jeep safari – sunset is the best time to experience the magic of the desert.
8. Day: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur / ca. 285 km
The scenery changes as you ride from desert into fertile plains and rural villages. Jodhpur, the “Blue City,” is dominated by its mighty fortress and vibrant bazaars. Your hotel, complete with garden and pool, is the perfect place to unwind after a long day on the road.
9. Day: Jodhpur
Today is dedicated to the cultural highlights of the city: the massive Mehrangarh Fort towers over Jodhpur, offering panoramic views. Nearby lies Jaswant Thada, a serene white marble memorial. Don’t miss a stop at Shri Mishrilal’s to try what many call India’s best makhani lassi.
10. Day: Jodhpur - Ranakpur / ca. 180 km
A scenic ride over quiet country roads takes you to Ranakpur. Here you’ll visit one of India’s most stunning Jain temples – a marvel of intricate stone carving and countless pillars. After the visit, your resort offers relaxation: enjoy the pool or a walk through the adjacent forest.
11. Day: Ranakpur - Udaipur / ca. 170 km
In the morning, visit the impressive Kumbhalgarh Fort, famed for its 36-kilometer-long defensive wall. Continue to Udaipur, the romantic “City of Lakes.” Known for its fairytale palaces, lush gardens, and relaxed lakeside vibe, Udaipur is perfect for a sunset stroll along Lake Pichola.
12. Day: Udaipur
Today you explore the highlights of Udaipur at your own pace: the majestic City Palace, the Jagdish Temple, and the famous Lake Palace, seemingly floating in the water. Stroll through the old town’s narrow streets and browse for handmade jewelry and textiles – a perfect mix of culture and shopping.
13. Day: Udaipur - Bundi / ca. 270 km
A well-maintained highway takes you to Bundi, a charming and less-touristy town full of historic buildings and colorful murals. Its lively markets and tranquil atmosphere make it a pleasant place to rest before the final stages of your journey.
14. Day: Bundi - Ranthambore / ca. 130 km
Today’s ride takes you through picturesque villages and open countryside. Ranthambore is known for its national park – one of the best places to see Bengal tigers in the wild. Your resort offers comfort and a pool, and if you wish, you can join an afternoon safari.
15. Day: Ranthambore - Jaipur / ca. 150 km
Start your day (optionally) with an exciting early morning safari. While tiger sightings aren’t guaranteed, you have good chances of spotting leopards, crocodiles, and exotic birds. Then ride on to Jaipur, the lively “Pink City,” where vibrant streets, colorful bazaars, and grand monuments await.
16. Day: Jaipur
A full day to dive into the heritage and culture of Jaipur: admire the stunning façade of the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), visit the ancient astronomical observatory Jantar Mantar, and explore the buzzing markets. In the evening, enjoy local cuisine in one of the city’s atmospheric restaurants.
17. Day: Jaipur - Agra / ca. 240 km
You travel the modern National Highway 11 to Agra. Spend a relaxed afternoon at the hotel pool or explore the city at your own pace. Prepare for the iconic highlight that awaits you tomorrow.
18. Day: Agra - Delhi / ca. 200 km
Rise early to witness the unforgettable sunrise over the Taj Mahal – one of the greatest monuments to love ever built. After breakfast, return to Delhi. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner and reflect on the many experiences of the past weeks.
19. Day: Flight home
If you're not flying home during the night, enjoy a final leisurely breakfast. Depending on your flight schedule, a transfer will take you to Delhi airport – or perhaps you'll stay a few more days to explore even more of India’s wonders.
