Visa
For most of the countries we travel to, you need a visa. Applying is usually straightforward and increasingly often possible online – without sending your passport or visiting the embassy.
You can find all details in the menu item “Visa,” sorted by destination countries.
Vaccinations
No vaccinations are mandatory for our travel countries. Only travelers coming from yellow fever areas (certain countries in Africa as well as Central and South America) need a valid international vaccination certificate.
However, vaccinations against
Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio, Hepatitis A, and Typhoid are recommended.
Since everyone has different health conditions, we recommend a personal travel health consultation – ideally 4 to 6 weeks before departure – with a qualified doctor or pharmacist.
Opinions differ on malaria prophylaxis. We also recommend seeking medical advice early here.
Driver’s License
In all travel countries except Georgia, you need an international driver’s license.
Please note: The international driver’s license is only valid together with your national driver’s license.
Riding in a Group
Riding motorcycles in a group is a new experience for many – especially in a country like India, where so many impressions come at you at once. To keep the group riding safe and relaxed for everyone, here are the most important basic rules:
- No position changes: No overtaking within the group.
- Ride staggered: This ensures distance and better visibility.
- Maintain distances: Especially important during sudden braking.
- Watch the rider behind: This keeps the group together.
- Use hand signals: For potholes, animals, dangers, or requests to stop.
- No stress: The group always rides at the speed of the slowest member.
- Start together, arrive together: Those who want to ride faster get the chance on suitable stretches – but not within the group.
Our guides keep an eye on everything and ensure a good balance between freedom and safety.
Minimum Number of Participants
The applicable minimum number of participants is stated directly in the trip description.
If this number is not reached 6 weeks before departure, we reserve the right to cancel the trip. Of course, in this case, we will refund all payments made in full.
However, our goal is always to make trips possible even with fewer participants – if everyone agrees. In such cases, the support vehicle is omitted, and we charge a tiered small group surcharge instead:
- 1 participant: +10% of the trip price
- 2 participants: +5%
- 3 participants: +2.5%
Before any possible cancellation, we will definitely present you with a new offer so that your trip can still take place.
Half Double Room
Solo travelers have the option to share a half double room with another guest.
If no roommate is available at the time of booking, we initially charge the single room supplement. If a suitable person is found later, we will of course refund the supplement.
Tips
Tipping plays an important role in countries like India – not only as financial support but also as a sign of appreciation for good work. Our mechanics and drivers of the support vehicle are not employed by us but provided by our local partners. They always strive to deliver the best service.
If you are satisfied with their service, they will appreciate a tip at the end of the tour. As a rough guideline:
- 1 € per travel day per person for driver or mechanic
- The tour guide also appreciates a small thank-you!
Everything can – nothing must.
