Visa
For most of our travel destinations, you’ll need a visa. Applying is usually straightforward and increasingly possible online – without sending your passport or visiting an embassy.
You’ll find all the details under the "Visa" menu item, sorted by destination country.
Vaccinations
No vaccinations are mandatory for our travel destinations. Only travelers arriving from a yellow fever area (certain countries in Africa and Central/South America) need a valid international vaccination certificate.
However, the following vaccinations are recommended:
Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio, Hepatitis A, and Typhoid.
Since everyone has different health conditions, we recommend a personal travel medicine consultation – ideally 4 to 6 weeks before departure – with a qualified doctor or pharmacist.
Regarding malaria prophylaxis, opinions vary. Here too, we recommend seeking early medical advice.
Driver's License
In all travel countries except Georgia, you need an international driver's license.
Please note: The international license is only valid in combination with your national license.
Group Riding
Group motorcycling is a new experience for many – especially in a country like India, where your senses are constantly flooded. To keep riding safe and relaxed for everyone, here are the key rules:
- No changing positions: No overtaking within the group.
- Staggered formation: This gives better spacing and visibility.
- Keep your distance: Especially important in sudden braking.
- Watch the rider behind you: So the group stays together.
- Use hand signals: For potholes, animals, hazards, or break requests.
- No pressure: The group always rides at the pace of the slowest rider.
- Start together, finish together: Those wanting to ride faster will have suitable stages to do so – but not within the group.
Our guides keep a close eye on the group and maintain a good balance between freedom and safety.
Minimum Group Size
The applicable minimum number of participants is listed in the tour description.
If the minimum is not reached 6 weeks before departure, we reserve the right to cancel the tour. In this case, we will of course refund all payments in full.
However, our goal is always to make the tour happen – even with fewer participants, if everyone agrees. In such cases, the support vehicle is omitted, and we charge a small group supplement instead:
- 1 participant: +10% of the tour price
- 2 participants: +5%
- 3 participants: +2.5%
Before any cancellation, we’ll definitely make you a new offer – so the trip can still go ahead.
Shared Twin Room
We offer solo travelers the option to share a twin room with another guest.
If no roommate is available at the time of booking, we initially charge the single supplement. If a suitable match is later found, we will of course refund the supplement.
Tips
Tipping plays an important role in countries like India – not just as financial support, but also as recognition for good service. Our mechanics and support vehicle drivers are not employees but are provided by our local partners. They are always committed to giving their best.
If you're happy with their service, they’ll appreciate a tip at the end of the tour. As a rough guide:
- €1 per travel day and per person for drivers or mechanics
- The tour guide will also be happy to receive a little thank-you!
Everything is optional – nothing is mandatory.
